YS Sharmila Arrested In Hyderabad: YSR Telangana Party chief YS Sharmila has been arrested by the Hyderabad Police and produced in the court. YS Sharmila had taken out a march towards the official residence complex office of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) during the day on Tuesday (November 29). During this the police stopped them. YS Sharmila is the sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

YS Sharmila took out this march to protest against the alleged attack on him and his party workers by the ruling TRS workers in Telangana. The YSR Telangana party chief had on Monday condemned the alleged attack in Warangal district during his statewide ‘Praja Prasthanam’ padayatra and then marched to the Telangana CM’s official residence complex office on Tuesday.

Police lifted the car with a crane, Sharmila was sitting inside

Television footage showed her driving a vehicle (with damaged window panes) during the march, but was stopped by police. When Sharmila refused to come out of the vehicle, the police brought a crane and lifted the vehicle while she remained seated in the vehicle. The police also took some supporters of the party from there.

Sharmila’s padyatra was attacked

Sharmila was later taken to the SR Nagar police station. The movement of vehicles on the road on which YSR Telangana Party leaders and workers were marching was disrupted for some time. Mild tension prevailed in Warangal district on Monday when a caravan being used for Sharmila’s statewide padyatra was attacked and set on fire, while window panes of one vehicle were damaged.

Sharmila was stopped by the police in view of the law and order situation and was asked to return while she was sent back to Hyderabad with police escort. Protesting against Sharmila’s remarks against the TRS MLA from Narsampet, workers of the ruling party gathered in large numbers. At the same time, the police dispersed both TRS workers and YSR Telangana Party workers to prevent any law and order situation.

Padyatra is being taken out in Telangana

The YSR Telangana party leader alleged that members of the ruling TRS attacked and set ablaze the caravan being used for rest during Sharmila’s padyatra. YSR Telangana Party said that Sharmila, daughter of former United Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister late YS Rajasekhara Reddy and sister of present Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has started a padayatra, which has so far been elected to 75 assembly seats in Telangana. Has completed a journey of 3,500 kms in the fields.
